"Scrapaholics Anonymous" Crop is HERE Ladies!!!!

Are ya packed????

Ladies,

It's time! Are you getting excited? I am!! By now I imagine that you have started packing and getting all you’re scrapping & crafting supplies together.

"Scrapaholics Anyomous" is a mere 4 days away and I wanted to touch base to cover a few things with all of you.

1) Like all of our crops, there will be coffee, soda, water & snacks (including fresh fruit) provided throughout the weekend.

2) Cheeky Chics offers an on-site store offering Bazzill cardstock (all of the colors) adhesives, glues, tape runners, assorted embellishments, card kits, several of the Basic Grey latest paper kits etc.

3) In the past we have had an extensive tool table set up for your use. Due to lack of need & interest, I have decided to eliminate it.

4) Garage Sale/Swap tableI will have tables available for you to display your items on. Please bring cash to make change for your buyers.

5) Massages: We have the pleasure of having 2 massage therapist available to take care of our aches and pains!
~Kelly is a fellow scrapper and friend and will be offering chair massages throughout the weekend. Kelly charges by the minute… 20 minutes max per appointment.
~Lina, also a friend of mine works at the hotel and will be offering full table massages in 30 minute or 1 hour increments.
Both of these ladies will book up quickly so be sure to reserve your time early!!!

6) Comfort: Don't forget to bring a sweater, jacket or fan depending which side of the thermostat you currently are on! A cushion for your tush (sitting in these chairs for long periods of time can get really uncomfortable) I actually bring an office chair. (yes, you can do the same) My friend Jen Peck always recommends a small stool or something similar to prop your feet on as to alleviate pressure on your back. This doesn't work for me but it's probably because my legs are so long.....lol

7) Lighting: The lighting is good in this room but if you own a Ott light or crafting light bring it along with a power strip. Power is provided at each table.

8) Make-n-Takes: There will be 3 make-n-takes!

If there is anything I have not covered, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Be prepared to laugh (like some of us until you pee yourself) because I have been told that our crops are more fun then should be legal ; }

 Scrapaholic Anonymous Crop Classes...
So, you bought those fabulous Copic Markers that everyone is talking about and they are artfully arranged on your craft table.
Oh, the colors are really pretty.
And, you tried them, but they just do not work right.
So, there they sit.  Artfully arranged on your craft table.
Grab them and bring them with you to Scrapaholics Anonymous Crop
Liz Thogersen, Intermediate Certified Copic Designer, is offering two classes.

Copic Café - Basic

This class will be so much fun.  Five fabulous note cards for you to share with your friends, start your portfolio, or simply display as pieces of artwork.  Liz will take you through the steps to cover everything you need to know about your markers.

What are the numbers all about?  And, those letters…what do they mean?  Why don’t my projects look good?  What kind of paper?  What kind of ink?  How do they blend?  What’s this colorless blender all about?  Oops…I left the top off my marker, and now it doesn’t work.

You’ll complete these fabulous cards in the 2 hour class time and leave with loads of information.  You’ll spend the rest of the crop staring in disbelief – these markers actually work!

Class is Saturday morning at 10am. Class kit includes images, cardstock and step-by-step instructions for all five note cards.  $25.

Copic Goes Steampunk - Advanced

Now that you are a pro Copic Marker user, show off your talents and complete this beautiful Steampunk design.  We’ll be using one of Kenny Kiernan’s Digi’s – Scarlett West.  Steampunk not your style?  You‘ll have a choice of several other Kenny Kiernan’s Digi’s to choose from to create your masterpiece.

In this class, Liz will take your Copic coloring and blending abilities to the next level…skin tones, metal tones, leather tones…
You’ll complete this fabulous piece of art 2 hour class time and leave with loads more information.  You won’t believe it.

Class is Saturday afternoon at 2pm. The kit includes an image of your choice: cardstock, display easel and step-by-step instructions.  $25.

**Whim-So-Doddle's in St. Pete has a special right now on Copic Markers!! Buy 5 and get 1 FREE!!!

                         TAKE NOTE

This is the fun class taught by April Smith that shows you how to turn a simple note pad into a one of a kind designer notebook to “take notes” in.  Once you learn how to make these you’ll want to make one for all your friends and family.

This class will take place Sunday morning at 10:00 and run approximately 2 hrs. Cost of class is $15.00, which includes card stock, notepad, all other materials, and step-by-step instructions for making the “take note” project.  You’ll need to bring your tools, bone folder, score board if you have one, paper cutter, scoring tool, glue, double-sided tape, as well as Red-line Tape or some other strong tape.

COMPUTER 101
Is this you? Perhaps you should take this 2 hour class taught by JD, who has been in the computer business for 33 years. The class will cover internet safety & security, file manipulation, and basic housekeeping! These topics will not only give you a better understanding of your computer, but will also help you with the knowledge of keeping it running smoother and faster!

JD will be using an overhead projector so you can easily follow along.

If you would like, bring a notepad to take notes. Class fee is $25 and limited to the first 10 that sign up.

Ladies, if you are interested in any of these classes you *must* sign up for them in advance; therefore please email me at cheekychicsscrapbooking@yahoo.com with your choice of payment, no later than Sunday, Feb 19th! This will allow our instructors time to get your kits ready!
